Work Health and Safety Statistics 2018
The latest Work Health and Safety statistics were published last week revealing that, once again, 'falls, trips and slips of a person' were the second most prevalent serious claim.
These claims account for 24% of all serious claims between 2016 and 2017 representing 25,070 claims.
Industries with the most serious claims were:
- Agriculture forestry and fishing
- Construction
- Manufacturing
One of the main causes of slips is inadequate slip resistance of floor surfaces.
